Esri Data & Maps

ESRI Data and Maps includes various map data for different regions: World, Canada, Mexico, the United States, and Europe. Each level of geography includes basemap layers such as boundaries, cities, rivers, and roads. Additionally, demographic data is provided for subnational boundaries such as states, counties or their equivalents. Detailed street files are available for United States and Canada. Census data for the United States is available for several administrative levels: state, county, census tract, block groups, and blocks. Specialized data sets include: global digital elevation models; parks; landmarks; cultural points of interest; time zones; UTM zones, etc.

All vector data is provided in ESRI's compressed, direct-read, high-performance Smart Data Compression (SDC) format. Most raster data that is included is provided in JPEG 2000 format. It is recommend to use this data with the ArcGIS software.
