Key benefit enhancements:
- Lifetime maximum increased from $500,000 to $1 million;
- The maximum for psychiatrists' fees in Canada per contract year increases from $5,000 to $20,000;
- For psychiatrists' fees, reimbursement will now be based on 1.5x the RAMQ fee schedule rather than 1x.
- Maximum duration of 30 days per contract year in the event of hospitalization for mental health reasons.

Key Highlights of the plan:
- Maximum for per-existing conditions is $20,000.
- There is now no maximum for eye exams.
- An out-of-pocket maximum on prescription drugs equivalent to that of the RAMQ out of pocket maximum is included in the plan.
- A new MBC Drug eCard is included that you can present at your next pharmacy visit (see IHI handbook for more details).
- Coverage for mental health professionals (combined for psychologists, psychotherapists, occupational therapists and social workers) is $3,000.
- Coverage for physiotherapists is $1,500.
- Coverage for vaccines is $1,000.
