Student Affairs Office
The Music Student Affairs Office (SAO) offers undergraduate academic advising, support and guidance with registration, course selection, program requirements, program transfer, minor/major options, academic guidelines, student resources referrals and other aspects of your student life at our School.
McGill has a variety of advisors, mentors and counsellors with different expertise, who are accessible in each stage of your academic career. Visit McGill's Academic Advising website to find out how the different advisors can assist you.
As a Schulich School of Music student, you may book a 15‑minute advising appointment or visit our office during drop‑in hours (location information below).
Drop‑in advising is normally available Mondays and Thursdays from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Please note this schedule may be adjusted due to statutory holidays or staff availability. The most up‑to‑date advising schedule is shared with students on a weekly basis from the studentaffairs.music [at] mcgill.ca (subject: Drop-in%20Advising%20Hours) (Student Affairs email account).
