Over the last twenty years, the Schulich School of Music has become an international reference for the teaching of composition. Its excellent reputation compares very favourably with that of the most famous schools worldwide.
Each year we receive over a hundred applications to our programs and attract international students from the United States, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Russia, China, South Korea, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, etc.
We owe this renown to the dedication and competence of our professors, the quality without compromise of our curriculum as well as to the exceptional dynamism of our musical environment. Our students come here to develop the theoretical and practical tools that will not only shape their lives as composers but will enable them to successfully undertake an academic career.
