From Saturday, Oct. 5 through Monday, Oct. 7, the Downtown and Macdonald Campuses will be open only to McGill students, employees and essential visitors. Many classes will be held online. Remote work required where possible. See Campus Public Safety website for details.

Overview of Business Analytics

Today, business professionals, managers, and entrepreneurs need to be able to leverage the power of data collected by organizations across the world.  

The Business Analytics concentration bridges the gap between business leaders and technical leaders. This concentration combines the best features of management majors and technical programs like data science programs. Students with strong technical skills will learn the business acumen required to succeed in the market, and those with strong managerial skills will get to learn the 'need-to-know' hard skills from data science. 

As a Business Analytics student, you will be trained in a diverse set of methods in analytics and tools to conduct analyses as applied in a variety of managerial disciplines. The Business Analytics concentration will provide you with essential skills and knowledge needed to navigate in the world of data. This concentration offers courses with a strong practical and applied orientation from a variety of managerial disciplines.
