Brazil Study Abroad Program
Brazil Study Abroad is a Summer School Program that is part of the McGill Faculty of Management's overall international orientation. Students can earn credits from McGill University while experiencing life and learning about business in Latin America.
Emzingo started working with Desautels in 2012 with MBA students, and since 2015 with undergraduates from Desautels’ world renowned BCom program. Today, Emzingo collaborates with Desautels offering students experiential learning with the Global Impact Fellowship, an 8-week social impact consulting program in South Africa and Peru.
Hot Cities of the World Tour
Hot Cities of the World Tour is an annual trip allowing Desautels students to experience firsthand the world economies of tomorrow. This one-of-a-kind trip takes students out of the traditional classroom setting and right into the hotbeds of economics, commerce, culture, finance, and national competitiveness.
Integrated Management Student Fellows ProgramWorking with Desautels faculty, the Integrated Management Student Fellowship Program provides an opportunity for students to hone practical research and partnership development skills through paid experiential learning.
Israel Study Trip
The Israel Study Trip is part of the Social Leadership, Entrepreneurship, & Sustainability – Perspectives from Israel class. Using an organizational behavior perspective, and leveraging real-world experiences from a week-long study trip in Israel, the course examines and integrates 3 themes: Social Leadership, Entrepreneurship and intrapreneurship, and Sustainability.
Li Ka Shing Program in International Business
Based on McGill’s successful International Summer Program, the Li Ka Shing Program in International Business is a customized summer program that welcomes 25 Shantou students to McGill to take two International Business courses in July over a 24 day period. In alternate years, McGill students travel to China for a 21 day intensive summer program in Shantou University.
McGill Lean Startup Program
McGill Dobson Centre for Entrepreneurship's Lean Startup Program is a hands-on program that immerses student teams by having them test their business ideas and hypotheses outside the classroom. Inside the classroom, it deliberately trades off lecture time for student/teaching team interaction.
McGill Not-For-Profit ConsultingThe MNFPC program began in 2008 with the idea that students should have the opportunity to apply lessons from the classroom to the real world. To earn credit towards their degree and give back to the community, McGill management students are paired with professional consultants to identify and implement projects that enhance the operations of local not-for-profit organizations.
SEI Impact Internship Program
Marcel Desautels Institute for Integrated Management (MDIIM): The SEI IIP pairs McGill's top undergraduate students with social-purpose organizations (non-profits and social enterprises) for ten weeks over the spring and summer months. The aim of SEI IIP is that the internships contribute to social impact and positive social change.
Real-world Exposure through the Experiential Module
As core to the Masters in Management in Analytics (MMA) program, the EXP Analytics Consulting module has students working alongside industry professionals over a 10-month period solving a significant Data & Analytics problem, aimed to boost the client’s top or bottom lines.

Desautels Business Conference on Sustainability
The essence of the Desautels Business Conference on Sustainability (DBCS) is to explore the impacts and opportunities of sustainability in business. DBCS is an annual conference, which targets some of the brightest students from universities across North America to gather a multilateral perspective on issues related to sustainability.
DBCS 2019 will gather experts and Montreal students on January 25, 2019 to discuss the benefits of sustainability in multidisciplinary forums and various business fields.
Desautels Capital Management (DCM)
Established in 2009, Desautels Capital Management Inc. is Canada’s first university-owned, student-run registered investment firm. DCM currently manages three funds that are managed by the Honours in Investment Management students in the BCom program as well as MMF students. Each fund has a team of student-analysts, led by a strategist. Students are guided by experienced faculty members and by the Desautels Global Experts with expertise in investment management.
Desautels Management Achievement Awards (DMAA)
The DMAA honours Canadian business leaders who have made significant and valuable contributions to the Canadian economy and way of life, through their success in business and involvement in the community.
Desautels Management Leadership Seminar
Organized by Desautels students, the Desautels Management Leadership Seminar provides a forum for first-year undergraduate students to learn about leadership.
Desautels Doctorate Students Society
The DDSS was founded in October 2006 by a group of doctoral students in the Desautels Faculty of Management to advocate for PhD students, to educate and to build community.
Desautels Graduate Student Society
The DGSS is a student-run association serving the interests of Masters Students of the Desautels Faculty of Management at McGill University.
Management Undergraduate Society
The MUS is a McGill business society committed to supporting the 2400+ undergraduate students within the Desautels Faculty of Management.
Desautels Sustainability Network
The DSN seeks to promote sustainability as a profitable opportunity for businesses. Through various events, we aim to break silos between faculties, connecting Montreal’s professional community with students and raising students’ voice to improve the Bachelor of Commerce. DSN is also hosting Montreal’s largest student-led conference on the impacts of sustainability within the private sector, the Desautels Business Conference on Sustainability.
