Orientations are a great way to meet fellow students and connect with new teachers and staff!

Part I: How to Register (May 23 – 26, 2023)

An information session given on zoom to guide you through using Minerva and building a weekly class schedule. Sessions available in both English and French.

Part 2: What to Register (June 2 or 9, 2023)

In this info session, we will help you navigate course registration and provide you with an opportunity to ask an advisor questions virtually. Key information such as registration tips, program requirement, transfer credits, placement exams will be addressed.

Part 3: Post Placement Exam and Transfer Credits Registration Info Session

This is a follow-up series from the Part I Registration Info Session. In this interactive info session, we will address more specific registration questions such as which courses students will typically register for after having received their placement exam results and a summary of their transfer credits.

Part 4 A: Welcome Orientation Day 1

This is a key in-person event for all new undergraduate music students. In this orientation, you will meet representatives from the faculty and student service units who you will encounter in your journey as a student at the Schulich School of Music. Featured speakers include Dr. Sean Ferguson (Dean of Schulich School of Music), Dr. Andrea Creech (Associate Dean, Academic & Student Affairs), and faculty members from Student Services, the Ensemble Office, the Music Library, Concert & Publicity, etc.

PART 4 B: Welcome Orientation Day 2

This serves as a continuation of the Welcome Session, providing you with a chance to connect with your fellow incoming students and engage with representatives from the Schulich School of Music.

During this event, you'll embark on a circuit tour that will take you through classrooms and the Music library. This tour will allow you the opportunity to engage in conversations with key individuals who can provide insights into life at the Schulich School of Music. These individuals include Associate Dean Andrea Creech (Academic & Student Affairs), Adelina Lameiras & Anna Drblik (Student Affairs Office), Will Eustes (Peer Mentor), Jennifer Mosher (Local Wellness Advisor). Additionally, you'll have the chance to explore the Marvin Duchow Music Library.

This will be followed by a lunch with Dean Sean Ferguson in the Wirth Lobby from 12:30 – 1:30pm.
