Program Description
Bachelor of Music (B.Mus.) - Minor Musical Science and Technology (18 Credits)
Note: Starting Fall 2026, MUSR 200: Audio Recording Essentials, MUSR 232: Intro to Electronics and MUSR 300D1/D2: Introduction to Music Recording will be added to the list of complementary courses for this minor.
Admission Requirements
- Open to all undergraduate students enrolled in a bachelor program
- Completion of at least one semester at McGill
- Possess high-school or higher-level math competency
- Experience in music technology and/or sound recording, computer programming skills and expressed interest in the program
- Minimum CGPA of 3.0
Application
Interested students must submit a musical science & technology minor application between December 1 and February 15.
Application result is communicated mid-March.
Successful applicants will have the minor added to their records as of early June after they have registered for at least once course in the following fall semester.
