Music History; B.Mus. (Minor)

Program Overview

The Minor in  Music History is intended primarily for students who wish to take more musicology than the sequence required in the core curriculum. The minor provides a means for music students to be recognized at graduation for their interest and focus on Music History. 

Enrollment

This minor program is open to all B.Mus. students (with the exception of students in the B.Mus. Major History).

  • To be eligible, you must have completed at least one year of university studies and must have a satisfactory academic standing.

Program Requirement:

The Minor Music History is available to all students (with the exception of students in the Major in Music History program). This option will take the place of music electives and/or free electives, as well as history, literature, and performance practice complementary courses.

Music History

18 credits selected from MUHL or MUPP prefix at the 300 level or higher.
