30 credits of U0 courses include:
U0 Required Courses (12 credits)
- MATH 122. Calculus for Management. or MATH 140. Calculus 1.
- MATH 123. Linear Algebra and Probability. or MATH 133. Linear Algebra and Geometry.
- MGCR 233. Data Programming for Business.
- MGCR 250. Expressive Analysis for Management.
- A minimum grade of C is needed for all Required U0 courses.
Students considering certain programs such as Major or Minor in Mathematics, Minor in Statistics or Minor in Computer Science, must replace MATH 122 & 123 with MATH 140, 141 and 133. Please refer to our Math Requirements for BCom Students webpage for more details.

If you have completed the equivalent of one or more university-level mathematics courses, but do not have acceptable certification, click here.
U0 Elective & Core Courses (18 credits)
- 12-18 credits (6 courses) of Non-Management Electives.
- Space permitting, students may choose to replace up to 6 credits of electives by selected Core courses:
MGCR 211. Introduction to Financial Accounting.
MGCR 222. Introduction to Organizational Behaviour.
