New students considering the Major Program in Economics:

  • replace MGCR 293 with ECON 230D1/ECON 230D2.
  • replace MGCR 294 with ECON 330D1/ECON 330D2 (taken in the second year)

For students who take MGCR 293 and/or MGCR 294 (ECON 295) before declaring a Major in Economics:

  • 9 credits will be permitted within the BCom program for MGCR 293 and ECON 230D1/ECON 230D2
  • 9 credits will be permitted within the BCom program for MGCR 294 (ECON 295) and ECON 330D1/ECON 330D2

Minor Concentration in Economics:

Students who declare a Minor Concentration in Economics who take MGCR 293 for the core requirement may take ECON 230D1/ECON 230D2 toward the minor.

Honours or Joint Honours programs in Economics (retired as of Fall 2023):

For students who take MGCR 293 and/or MGCR 294 (ECON 295) before declaring an Honours programs:

  • will earn 9 credits for MGCR 293 and ECON 250D1/ECON 250D2
  • will earn 9 credits for MGCR 294 (ECON 295) and ECON 352D1/ECON 352D2
