Overview

Do you want to earn credits during your summer internship? Enroll in BUSA 410: Summer Internships in Management. This course helps you maximize your internship by teaching key transferable skills, guiding you to recognize and leverage networking opportunities, and enhancing your professional and self-awareness.

Course structure

We will meet in person in early May for an all-day kick-off session. This session will include individual and group activities, as well as panels featuring industry managers and recent alumni.

Between May and August, several online workshops will be scheduled during evenings and weekdays. Each workshop will cover content review, time for reflection, and a check-in with the instructor. We will share the workshop schedule before the start of the semester.

We will conclude in late August with a final in-person wrap-up session, where everyone will come together to reflect on our individual and collective learnings.

Course objectives

This course has three overarching objectives:

  • Bridge the theory/practice gap
  • Build self-awareness to help your professional growth
