Why choose the McGill GCPA?

Newly accepted students

Congratulations

Welcome to the McGill Graduate Certificate in Professional Accounting (GCPA) Program

Chartered Professional Accountants play leadership roles in public practice, business, industry, government and education. We hope you will find our program both challenging and rewarding.

Accepting Your Offer of Admission

Students admitted to the GCPA Program are required to submit a Registration Deposit Fee of $300 CAN (Visa or Master Card) when confirming acceptance on the McGill Application Management system (Summer admission). This fee is applied towards tuition fees, and is non-refundable.

Deadline for confirming your acceptance and Registration Fee Deposit is March 1, 2024 or the date stated on your conditional letter of acceptance.

Any applicant who fails to confirm on the McGill Application Management system (Summer admission) by the date specified in the acceptance letter will forfeit their space in the program, and will be required to re-apply.

Steps

  • Accept your offer of admission in your account on-line using the McGill Application Management system (Summer admission), and pay the confirmation deposit where applicable.
  • You must make arrangements to have your final, official transcript sent from the institution(s) you attended.

If it is not possible for documents to be sent via one of the service providers listed above, McGill will accept final official transcripts and proof of graduation sent directly from the issuing institution to officialschooldocs [at] mcgill.ca. Documents that are not required or that are determined to be unofficial will not be accepted.

Transcripts in languages other than English or French must be accompanied by an English or French translation prepared by the school. If your school cannot provide a translation, you must send a translation from a certified translator.

You may be required to upload course descriptions for math and science courses via Minerva.
  • Make sure that you read carefully your offer of admission letter and familiarize yourself with any outstanding conditions. Please take the necessary steps to address all outstanding conditions as early as possible.
