The McGill Institute of Marketing (MIM) was founded by a group of McGill Management professors in keeping with the Desautels Faculty of Management's mandate of providing business education and conducting research which is both significant and relevant.
The institute supports the research and pedagogical agenda of Desautels Faculty of Management as related to the field of marketing.
In this capacity it promotes research projects by McGill scholars focused on marketing issues that help inform both for-profit and non-profit organizations, policy makers, and the society at large.
In addition, it plays an instrumental role in furthering doctoral education in marketing by making available financial resources for doctoral students to attend conferences and consortiums.
Further, it funds specialized teaching and research tools needed for marketing courses at both the Masters and Undergraduate levels.
