On February 27, the Laidley Centre for Business Ethics and Equity (LCBEE) hosted a thought-provoking event on Black female entrepreneurship that connected academic research with the lived experiences of Black female entrepreneurs.
Organized in collaboration with the McGill Desautels EDI team and the McGill Black Alumni Association, this event provided a space for meaningful dialogue and knowledge-sharing, highlighting both the challenges and successes of Black women entrepreneurs.
To mark International Women’s Day in March, LCBEE held a panel spotlighting the ‘Women of Desautels: Past, present, and future’, including the granddaughter of the McGill’s first female commerce graduate, current BCom students and notable alumnae, underscoring the Faculty’s long-standing commitment to fostering gender equity in business and management education.
