Marvin Duchow Music Library and Gertrude Whitley Performance Library

Our music libraries occupy three floors in the Elizabeth Wirth Music Building and house one of the most important academic collections in Canada.

Here we have a large collection of

  • scores,
  • multimedia recordings (.mp3s/320kbps),
  • concert programmes (.pdfs) for Schulich School of Music major ensemble concerts (available to McGill IP addresses only), and
  • DVDs

which are available to our students within the Marvin Duchow Music Library and the Gertrude Whitley Performance Library. Music students also have access to the fifth floor computer room which is supported by the latest software. Considered to be an extensive and authoritative resource, the library has also taken root with our students and faculty as an oasis for reflection and creative contemplation.
