Founded in October 2006, DDSS three-pronged approach for student advocacy, community building, and holistic development is encapsulated by the three key goals:

  • Advocate for Ph.D. students in their interactions with the faculty and administration in response to policies, issues, and concerns of importance to the Society’s members.
  • Build a community among Ph.D. students and alumni through the promotion events.
