Longevity means adaptation: Leadership insights from a Pratt & Whitney Senior VP

Maria Della Posta (BCom’85, MBA’91), Senior Vice President of Pratt & Whitney Canada visited the Desautels Faculty of Management on February 19 to share her perspective on corporate leadership, the importance of adaptation amid technological advancement, and the rise of analytics in a business setting.

In conversation with four Masters of Management in Analytics (MMA) students, Della Posta also shared takeaways on the manufacturing industry and the future career landscape.

About Maria Della Posta

Maria Della Posta was named Senior Vice President, Pratt & Whitney Canada (P&WC) , in 2015. Her responsibilities in her role in the President's Office include leadership of the Customer Service and Sales & Marketing organizations, as well as continued development of key business strategies that will drive sustainable growth for P&WC.

Maria began her career at P&WC in 1985 and progressed in roles of increasing leadership and responsibility in Supply Chain, Finance, Customer Support, Customer Service, Sales & Marketing and Strategy & Business Development, before being appointed to the President's Office in January 2012. Promoted to Vice President, Customer Support, in 2001, she was appointed Vice President, Customer Service, in 2008, and Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing, in 2010.

Maria earned her bachelor's degree in commerce in 1985 and an MBA in 1991, both from McGill University.
