Diversity of students strengthens classroom experience

The Desautels Faculty of Management welcomed its inaugural cohort of Masters of Management in Analytics (MMA) students on August 3.

The thirty-five students (14 female, 21 male) originate from 12 nations across five continents and have an average entering CGPA of 3.40, bringing diverse cultural perspectives and strong academic credentials.

Thanks to incredible donor support, Desautels has a new home for our Masters programs - and extra space for our BCom students. 

Donors also created 34 new MBA awards for the #1 MBA Program in Canada and named more than 140 MBA Lockers.

McGill Food Analytics Club presents Lecture & Hackathon

The McGill Food Analytics Club (McGill FAC) is a student-driven data analytics club that focuses on food. As the world is heading towards a massive food crisis the next decade, there is an urgent need to come up with solutions. Inspired and supported by Desautels Professor Juan Camilo Serpa, the club members want to contribute to solving this food crisis with data analytics.

The Armstrong Building as a new frontier for Desautels

In January 2018, the Donald E. Armstrong Building, the new home for Desautels’ MBA and Masters programs, opened officially for classes.

Just under two months since its inauguration, The McGill Reporter delves into the benefits that this expansion has brought for all in the Faculty.

For example, in line with student feedback, the new building brings additional spaces for group work and quiet study areas, which will surely enhance learning.
