BCom Students Win 2016 National Investment Banking Competition

Two Desautels BCom student teams took 1st and 2nd places in the Undergraduate Division at the National Investment Banking Competition (NIBC) held on March 23 to 24 in Vancouver. Every year, the competition attracts more than 330 teams of undergraduate and graduate students from top business schools around the world. It is recognized as one of the most prestigious financial case competitions in North America.

After completing the first round in November, 48 undergraduate and graduate teams were invited to the final NIBC case in Vancouver. After three rounds of presentations culminating in a final performance in front of the 400 attendees, the following two Desautels teams had podium finishes:

1st Place Team ($7,500 award): McGill Capital Management

2nd Place Team: Desautels Capital Markets
