Web Editors: REMINDER to request migrating your website to new Web Management System
REMINDER to McGill web site owners/managers: Have you requested to move your WPS website to the new Web Management System yet?
As most web publishers in the McGill community already know, IT Services Content and Collaboration Solutions (CCS) is moving nearly 650 websites from the legacy Web Publishing System (WPS) to the modern and open source Web Management System (WMS).
The WPS is scheduled to be shut down by the end of this year, so you need to take action to start the migration process as soon as possible.
What you need to do by the end of March
Please go to www.mcgill.ca/wms, read about the migration process, and click on the Website Migration Request Form tab to submit the required request form. Even if you can’t start immediately, CCS's Web Production group wants to know when you’ll be ready and able to undertake this important step.
If you have already submitted this form, rest assured you will receive an email with further details on training, timelines and more.
