Construction starts: Bronfman Building – Upgrade of classrooms 620 & 625 – Phase 1 – electrical portion

McGill University has mandated Enixum to carry out Project 26-017, which involves the modernization of classrooms 620 and 625 on the 6th floor of the Bronfman Building, home to the McGill Executive Institute.

The project will upgrade the electrical infrastructure of both classrooms, adding new power outlets and data conduits to support new audiovisual equipment and a new instructor podium. Once complete, the classrooms will offer executive education participants and faculty a more connected, better-equipped learning environment.

Construction starts: Macdonald Harrington Building – Replacement of elevator 22

McGill University’s Facilities Management and Ancillary Services (FMAS) has mandated Ascenseur Adams Elevator Inc. to carry out Project 25-016 – Macdonald-Harrington Hall, Elevator 22 Replacement.

The project consists of replacing Elevator 22 and its associated mechanical equipment to improve reliability, accessibility, and safety.

Construction starts: Chancellor Day Hall – Student Space Renovation (Lot 1)

McGill University’s Facilities Management and Ancillary Services (FMAS) will carry out Project 19-166 OCDH – Student Space Renovation – Lot 1 at Chancellor Day Hall on the Downtown Campus.

The project consists of revitalizing and renovating areas in the basement of Chancellor Day Hall, including patching and painting in hallways and student areas, as well as updating furniture.

Construction starts: Macdonald Campus – Removal of Temporary Classrooms

McGill University’s Facilities Management and Ancillary Services (FMAS) will carry out Project 23-035 near the Centennial Centre on the Macdonald Campus. The project involves the decommissioning and removal of the temporary classrooms located near the building.

Work will also include the removal of associated underground services, dismantling of the existing gravel pad, and full restoration of the site, including seeding to return the area to its original use as a soccer field.

Construction starts: 680 Sherbrooke – Upgrades to parking access and EV infrastructure
