Mouna Safi-Harab received the B.A.Sc. (2000) degree from the University of Toronto, Toronto, Canada, and the M.Eng. (2003) and Ph.D. (2007) degrees from McGill University, Montréal, Canada, all in electrical engineering with microelectronics (integrated circuits design) concentration. Between 2008 and 2011, she was an NSERC postdoctoral fellow at Ecole Polytechnique de Montréal, Montréal, Canada working on low-power circuit design techniques for biomedical applications (in collaboration with the University of British Columbia).

Since August 2011, she is working at the MNI as a postdoctoral fellow. Her research focuses on using fMRI recordings to detect epileptic activity within the brain.
