Swetara Joshi

My name is Sweta Joshi and I am currently finishing my last year of undergraduate studies at McGill University with a major in Psychology and a double minor in Spanish and Behavioural Science. I am currently working at the Gotman lab under the supervision of Dr. Birgit Frauscher on a research project investigating the presence of PGO waves (ponto-geniculo-occipital potentials seen during REM sleep in animals) in the human occipital cortex via depth electrode recordings of epileptic patients. This opportunity has allowed me to express my passion and curiosity in the field of neuroscience and given me great insight and knowledge into the topics of sleep, epilepsy, and electrophysiology.
