Jawata Afnan received her B.Sc. degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, Bangladesh in 2013. She worked as a research assistant at the University of Manitoba PET (Positron emission tomography) Imaging Lab (2017-2019) under the supervision of Dr. Andrew Goertzen and obtained her M.Sc. degree in Biomedical Engineering from University of Manitoba, Canada in 2019. Since 2019, she has been a PhD student in Integrated program in Neuroscience (IPN) at McGill, supervised by Dr. Christophe Grova and Dr. Jean Gotman. Her current research focuses on characterizing resting state oscillatory patterns in brain using MEG (magnetoencephalography) source imaging and intracranial EEG (electroencephalography) data.
