After five years at the helm of the Desautels Faculty of Management, Isabelle Bajeux-Besnainou has been appointed the new Dean of Carnegie Mellon University’s Tepper School of Business. Dean Bajeux-Besnainou will end her second term as Dean in October 2020.
Under Dean Bajeux-Besnainou’s leadership, the Faculty has made great strides in enhancing experiential learning opportunities for students and in growing the professoriate. She oversaw the expansion of the Faculty’s physical facilities as well, with the privately funded renovation of the Donald E. Armstrong Building and the establishment of the Bensadoun School of Retail Management.
This fall, an Advisory Committee to the Principal will be formed for the selection of a new Dean of the Desautels Faculty of Management. Vice-Dean Morty Yalovsky will be stepping in to take up the position of Interim Dean starting in October. He has a long track-record of leadership during his more than 40 years at McGill, including serving as Interim Dean from 2014 to 2015, and his current position as the Faculty’s Vice-Dean.
