Visiting a patient

As a precaution, people with a fever or a cough are asked to avoid patient visits and unnecessary travel to The Neuro. If you need to come to The Neuro and have these symptoms, please put on a mask and wash your hands as soon as you arrive.

Make an appointment to get vaccinated

To make an appointment, check if you are part of the group being vaccinated. The planned order of vaccination in your region must be followed. 


Before your visit

Getting an appointment

  1. Get a referral from your family doctor or general practitioner (GP)
  2. Your family doctor or GP must send a consultation request to the CRDS (Centre de répartition des demandes de services) using a form provided by the CRDS. Once completed, these forms can be faxed to (514) 732-5121.
  3. The CRDS will then seek out an appointment on your behalf and then contact you with the appointment date.
  4. If your referral is coming directly from a specialist, you can simply fax it to our Neurology department at (514) 398-2745. Please make sure to include your full contact information.

Your visit

  1. Bring your Medicare (RAMQ) card with you to 3801 University
  2. Register at Admissions (Room 165C, inside and to the right of the entrance at 3801 University)
  3. Your hospital card will be made and you will be given directions to your appointment

The Neuro Cares Fund: We are here to help

The Neuro Cares Fund provides financial support for those in need by helping cover the unexpected expenses of being diagnosed with a neurological illness. Open to all hospitalized patients. Please contact your social worker to see if you qualify.
