- Floors 1-5 of the Nahum Gelber Law Library are only available for quiet individual study. Conversations and other noise-making activities are not allowed in these areas; cellphones should be silenced.
- The basement of the Law Library can be used as a Conversation Zone, where quiet conversations and videoconferencing are allowed.
- There are three study rooms at the Library that can be booked by McGill Law students online.
- Food and drink: Reusable water bottles or other sealed drink containers are permitted in Library spaces. Water fountains are available throughout the building. Food is not permitted in the Library.
General Library Use
- The selling or distribution of food or beverages is not permitted.
- Having restaurant food delivered to the library is not permitted.
- Library users are not permitted to save seats for others.
- Mobile devices should be silenced throughout the library.
- E-cigarettes and vaporizers are not permitted anywhere in the library.
- Unattended personal belongings may be removed by Security.
- Users who do not comply with the Library Space policy and who do not use bins to clean up will be required to leave.
- Drives (food, clothing, hygiene products, other items or books) are not permitted anywhere in the library.
- Canvassing, soliciting, or surveying library patrons is not permitted.
