Biography: 

An energetic bridge between academic research and enterprise innovation, Dr. Fatih Nayebi is Vice President of Data & AI at the ALDO Group and a Faculty Lecturer in Information Systems at McGill University.

His work focuses on turning cutting-edge machine-learning research into tangible business value while preparing the next generation of analytics leaders.

Academic Background

Dr. Nayebi earned his Ph.D. in Engineering from École de technologie supérieure, where his research combined software engineering, human-computer interaction, and machine learning. He also holds M.Sc. and B.Sc. degrees in Computer Engineering from Boğaziçi University.

Industry Leadership

At the ALDO Group, Dr. Nayebi leads enterprise-wide data strategy, AI product development, and the deployment of agentic AI systems that optimize merchandising, supply-chain operations, and customer experience. His initiatives have been featured at global retail forums such as ODSC West, World AI Summit, Shoptalk, NRF Nexus, and Big Data & Analytics Summits.

Teaching & Mentoring

Since 2019, he has designed and taught McGill’s graduate courses Enterprise Data Science, Machine Learning in Production, and Applications & Architectures of Deep Learning, emphasizing hands-on projects and real-world deployment practices. Dr. Nayebi also supervises capstone projects and mentors emerging data scientists through industry partnerships.

Research & Publications
