MIPC asks students to devise decumulation strategies for an inflationary environment
For its 7th edition, the 2023 McGill International Portfolio Challenge (MIPC), as part of McGill’s Sustainable Growth Initiative (SGI), gathered over 80 teams from 27 countries to address retirement challenges amidst inflation. Participants tackled the task of developing decumulation strategies for the fictional Maple Leaf Pension Plan, simulating real-world data.

McGill Desautels launches the Management Science Case Writing Competition
The inaugural McGill Desautels Management Science Case Writing Competition, organized by Assistant Professor (Teaching) Rob Glew and supported by EY, turns the tables on the traditional case competition format. McGill Desautels continues its hot streak in the case competition arena with another podium result, placing 2nd overall in the prestigious 2023 Copenhagen Business School Invitational Case competition. 12 schools flew to Copenhagen and were challenged to help Vestas, a leading company in wind power plant solutions, leverage its position to create new businesses in hydrogen technologies and develop a strategy for 2030.
