Your student ID card is proof that you’re a registered student at McGill and gives you access to a full range of McGill services. You’ll need it to use most essential services on campus and it’s good to carry it with you at all times in case of an emergency. You must be registered for at least one course in order to get your student ID card.
For newly-admitted students, time blocks have been set aside during Orientation Week for ID card production. Once classes begin, ID cards can be obtained in the Student Affairs Office from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily.
Current Macdonald Campus students may obtain a McGill student ID card in the Student Affairs Office, Laird Hall 106, weekdays from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.
Certain documents are required in order to obtain your McGill student ID card. Go to Student Records for more information.
