Department of Animal Science

McGill's Department of Animal Science offers outstanding opportunities for study at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, resulting in degrees that leave our students in an excellent position to choose their own future.

It is ideally situated for our students who wish to put the theory of the classroom into effect in a practical agro-environmental setting. As one of the few remaining departments of Animal Science in North America with a fully-functional farm at its disposal, our students and researchers have the ability to take full advantage of our various animal facilities for teaching and research.

"McGill led me to pursue my veterinary education at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. The knowledge and experience I acquired from my classes set me well ahead of my peers at vet school and made me feel more confident in classes and labs."
