Baroque Concert at the Osler Library of the History of Medicine

On Saturday, June 25 at 2:00 p.m., the Osler Library of the History of Medicine will host a concert featuring Vincent Lauzer as part of the 14th annual Baroque Festival. The concert will showcase works for recorder by young Quebec composers with Baroque influences.

Redpath basement converted to closed storage

Due to growing security concerns, the Redpath Library Building basement became closed storage as of Monday, August 15, 2016. Users may request materials through the catalogue and we will accommodate requests as quickly as possible.

RESOLVED: Issues with print holdings in the McGill WorldCat catalogue

Update, June 14, 2016: Technical issues with the display of the physical holdings in the McGill WorldCat catalogue have been resolved. Call numbers, locations and loan information should now display correctly for print items held by the Library.

Summer shifting project at Schulich Library of Science and Engineering

Schulich Library of Science and Engineering is undergoing a major summer shifting project. We are currently shifting our collection in order to provide more study space on the fourth and fifth floors. We will be shipping over 55,000 titles to our storage facility at the Currie Gym.

On March 9, 2016, the McGill University Library and Archives welcomed a group of local and international scholars for a one-day symposium “Celebrating Voltaire”.

The Islamic Studies Library Collections at McGill University include over 750 lithographed volumes printed in the second half of the nineteenth century and the first half of the twentieth century in the Middle East (Egypt, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, and Turkey), North Africa (Morocco), and South Asia (India, Pakistan).

Macdonald Campus Library extended hours - spring 2016

From March 16 to April 28, 2016, the Macdonald Campus Library will be offering extended hours. 

In addition to its regular hours, the Library will be open: Monday to Thursday from 6 to 10pm and Saturday from 12 to 8pm.
