Matthew Ingrassia

Matthew currently works as a Portfolio Manager and Chief Compliance Officer at Alpha-Lab Asset Management Inc., focused on fundamental analysis and portfolio construction for global and international equity strategies. Prior, Matthew was a Senior Partner and the Director of Equity Research at Applied Research Investments, an upstart investment management firm focused on long-only, bottom-up fundamental equity investment.

Before helping launch Applied Research in March 2017, Matthew spent seven years as an International Equities Research Analyst, and back-up Portfolio Manager at CIBC Asset Management in Montreal. From 2002 to 2005 Matthew spent three years as a Canadian Equities Research Associate with UBS Global Asset Management in Toronto. In addition, Matthew has nearly seven years of Investment Banking experience at firms including: Citigroup Global Markets (New York City), BMO Capital Markets (Toronto), and UBS Investment Bank (Toronto).

Matthew holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Queen’s University and an M.B.A degree from McGill’s Desautels Faculty of Management. He is a CFA Charterholder.
