Frédérique Carrier is Managing Director, Head of Investment Strategy with RBC Wealth Management. She is co-chair of RBC Wealth Management’s global asset allocation committee, GPAC, which establishes the asset allocation mix for Wealth clients worldwide and is a regular contributor to the RBC Wealth Management publication Global Insights. Based in the UK, she formulates the equity strategy for the UK and Europe and spearheads “Special Reports”, the flagship publications of RBC Wealth Management in the UK, which focus on timely market issues and themes. In addition, she is head of the London equity desk where she is responsible for the single line equity offering which encompasses both customised portfolios and Equity Focus Lists for UK and European stocks.
Ms. Carrier chairs the Investments Diversity and Inclusion Working Group in RBC Wealth Management International, and is a member of the steering committee for R-WomenUK, one of RBC’s employee resource group.
Earlier in her career, Ms. Carrier spent five years at BBVA Latinvest as a sell side analyst covering Latin America before moving to Invesco, where she worked from 1997 to 2004 as a fund manager for global emerging markets and global equities. Immediately prior to joining RBC, Ms. Carrier worked at Williams de Broe Singer and Friedlander for eight years, managing several European equity mandates.
Ms. Carrier holds a B.Comm (joint honors) in Economics and Finance from McGill University and an MBA from the University of Western Ontario. She is also an Associate of the Society of Investment Professionals.
