This year's keynote speaker is Colin Gallacher (B.Eng.’13, M.Sc.'15, McGill University), Co-Founder and President at Haply Robotics. The keynote will be followed by our TechIDEA Pitch Competition.
Keynote Speaker & Judge
Colin Gallacher is the President and Co-Founder of Haply Robotics, a Montreal-based company that is building the next generation of touch-enabled interfaces for physical consoles, combining force-feedback technologies with submillimeter precision wireless tracking in large environments and VR/AR displays. Colin received his B.Eng in Mechanical Engineering in 2013 and his Master’s (thesis) in Mechatronics, Robotics and Automation Engineering from McGill University in 2015. In 2017, Colin Gallacher, Steve Ding, and Felix Desourdy founded Haply Robotics to add touch to technology and change the way we interact with the digital world. Since 2017, Haply Robotics has collaborated with companies across industries, including Amazon, Unity, and Pfizer.
