Research Entities
Research Units and Core Facilities, referred to as Research Entities, play a central role in the University’s research mission through collaboration, training, partnerships, research dissemination, and research-creation.
Research Units within McGill bring together researchers to focus on a specific area of research, often across departments and Faculties. Core Facilities are shared research platforms that provide access to a wide community of users to specialized equipment, expertise, training, services, and technologies.
The McGill Policy on Research Entities and related procedures outlines the framework for their recognition, oversight, review, and operations.
