Local Wellness Advisor: Science

Local Wellness Advisor supporting students in the Faculty of Science (name unavailable)

Our Local Wellness Advisor for the Faculty of Science is away for a semester, so where can I go for help? How do I find out what services are available to me at the Student Wellness Hub?

It’s true: the Local Wellness Advisor (LWA) for the Faculty of Science is on leave for the Winter 2024 semester, but there are a lot of resources at the Hub, at McGill, and in the community at-large that can meet your needs.  When you’re not feeling well, finding the right resources can seem overwhelming.  Luckily, the Access Advisors at the Hub can help you navigate resources both on and off campus.  Access Advisors are mental health professionals who offer one-on-one wellness planning appointments.  New access advising appointments are open daily and book 72 hours in advance. Sign up to meet with an Access Advisor.

It’s important to remember that many science students have access to more than one LWA.  You can also reach out to a community LWA and book a one-on-one wellness appointment 2-3 weeks in advance.  View the other LWA profiles and book an appointment.

McGill students can book free teletherapy appointments with keep.meSAFE.  Keep.meSAFE counselors offer flexible scheduling, out-of-province care and provide services in several languages.  Learn more about keep.meSAFE and download the app.

Finally, any door you reach is the right door. Some professionals can connect you to the care you need - just reach out!
