We understand that some students have questions or concerns about gender-affirming care and what this means for them. At the Student Wellness Hub, support for queer, trans, and non-binary students remains available. This includes access to a range of services such as Local Wellness Advisors, Counsellors & Sexologists, Access Advisors, Physicians.
If you’re looking to explore your gender identity, access support, or better understand your options, there are people who can help you do that in a safe, respectful, and affirming space.
When it comes to the medical aspects of gender-affirming care, these are handled directly between you and a licensed physician. Like all medical care, decisions are made in conversation with your doctor, based on your individual needs and circumstances. Physicians practicing in Canada follow medical and legal frameworks and are guided by advice from the Canadian Medical Protective Association, which informs how they provide care. If you have specific questions about your situation, the best next step is to speak directly with your healthcare provider.
