MITACS

MITACS

Mitacs is a national, not-for-profit organization that has designed and delivered research and training programs in Canada since 1999. Working with 60 universities, thousands of companies, and both federal and provincial governments, Mitacs builds partnerships that support industrial and social innovation in Canada.

Eligible partners include for-profit organizations and not-for-profit (NFP) organizations and Crown corporations, as long as there is a demonstrable economic or productivity orientation of the proposed research project, such as creating jobs, reducing costs, or increasing productivity.

Submission process: As all Mitacs grants are administered as research grants, OSR internal procedures apply to all programs. Please submit your application package to the responsible OSR contact for review. A completed OSR checklist and Intellectual Property Questionnaire (if applicable) are required prior to institutional signature. The OSR Officer will provide feedback and forward the application to Mitacs.
