Provincial Funding Sources (Quebec)

Research + Innovation provides support for provincial funding opportunities that are offered by the Quebec government departments, non-profit organizations, and provincial consortia. Such sponsors include the Fonds de recherche du Québec (FRQ), the Ministère de l’Économie et de l’Innovation (MEI), the Ministère des Relations internationales et de la Francophonie (MRIF), and Génome Québec.

The Fonds de recherche du Québec (FRQ) are three provincial research funding agencies that promote and financially support research, knowledge dissemination and researcher training in Québec.

Ministère de l’Économie et de l'Innovation (MEI) supports economic development in Quebec, innovation and export trade.

Génome Québec (GQ)  is a key partner and Québec regional center of  Genome Canada  and is involved in all national competitions launched by Genome Canada. In addition, it launches its own calls for proposals to support genomics research specifically in the province of Québec.
