Fonds de recherche du Québec (FRQ)
The Fonds de recherche du Québec (FRQ) are three provincial research funding agencies that promote and financially support research, knowledge dissemination and researcher training in Québec. The three Fonds support researchers in the following areas:
- FRQ - Nature et Technologies (FRQNT): for researchers in the natural sciences and engineering
- FRQ - Société et Culture (FRQSC): for researchers in the social sciences and humanities (including arts and literature)
- FRQ - Santé (FRQS): for researchers in the biomedical and health sciences

Other provincial sponsors
R+I provides support for other provincial funding opportunities that are offered by government departments, non-profit organizations, and provincial consortia. Such sponsors include the Ministère de l’Économie et de l’Innovation (MEI), the Ministère des relations internationales et de la Francophonie (MRIF), and Génome Québec.
