Published: 29 March 2023

As of April 1, McGill students are able to access the Nahum Gelber Law Library 24 hours a day, seven days a week. As agreed between the Students' Society of McGill University (SSMU) and the Law Students Association (LSA), the Nahum Gelber Law Library will limit access to the three upper floors of the library to Law students only during the April 14 to 28 examination period. Details are as follows:

- A valid McGill ID card is required for access to the Nahum Gelber Law Library outside of Info Desk Service Hours.

- Floors 3, 4 and 5 will be limited to Law students from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday during the two-week period.

- The ground floor and the second floor will be available to all students on a 24-hour basis. Should materials on the upper floors be required by McGill students, students can submit a hold/scan request or ask for assistance at the Law Library’s service desk.

The SSMU, LSA and the Nahum Gelber Law Library agreed to the above schedule following consultations with students. We trust that these hours of access will meet student needs.
