The seed library is a free program, open to all members of the McGill community, including students, faculty, staff, alumni and McGill Library members. As a member you will receive emails about the seed library spring launch date, inventory, and upcoming events!
Students, Staff and Faculty: In order to join, you only need a valid McGill ID and email address. Please register here!
Community Borrowers and Alum: If you do not have a McGill username/email address, pleased download this form [.doc], you can fill it out and bring it to the staff member at the desk in the Macdonald Campus Library, or email it to macdonald-seed.library [at] mcgill.ca (macdonald-seed[dot]library[at]mcgill[dot]ca).
The seed collection is housed at the Macdonald Campus Library; you may either select your seeds in person, or use the online order form.
There is a limit of 25 seed packets per user per season, one packet per variety.
Many of the seeds in our collection have been generously donated by the West Coast Seed Company and Ferme Coopérative Tourne-Sol. The seeds and any produce grown from them may not be sold for profit.
