Donations

University Advancement (UA) staff collaborates with the faculties, schools and departments of McGill University to meet the goals of the institution. R&D Partnerships

The McGill Engineering Innovation and Entrepreneurship (McGill Engine) connects industry with the Faculty of Engineering professors and students, concentrating on building mutually beneficial business relationships and matching companies’ R&D needs with the Faculty’s expertise and capabilities.

Vivian helps foster R&D collaborations and transfer of knowledge between faculty and industry partners. Her academic background includes a PhD in Chemical Engineering from McGill. Prior to joining the Engine, she worked as a process engineer for several years at multinational engineering firms in Canada, Brazil and Australia, and has acted as a technical patent advisor for a Montreal legal firm. Her mix of academic and industry expertise is ideally suited to achieve the goals of all involved with the McGill Engine Centre, the Innovation and Partnerships Office, and industry. The Faculty of Engineering through the McGill Engineering Student Centre (MESC) offers many services that allow companies to gain visibility among top engineering students, and help fill hiring needs for highly trained and talented engineers. Research Commercialization and Technology Transfer

The Office of Innovation and Partnerships manages the intellectual property developed at McGill University. Among their responsibilities, the team protects intellectual property through the disclosure and patenting process, negotiates technology transfer (options, licenses) agreements with industry, and markets McGill inventions to potential licensees. School of Continuing Studies

The McGill School of Continuing Studies’ mission is to anticipate and respond to the educational needs of our learners and partners, both domestic and international.
