The Office of E-IDEA is leading programs that support the Faculty of Engineering community in building a diverse, equitable, and inclusive culture.

Empower is focused on activities that take place outside of class. Conceptually, this is known as ‘experiential learning,’ or learning by doing, and while ancillary skills development may be an added benefit, the initiative is really about helping students develop leadership capabilities.

The McGill Engine Centre in the Faculty of Engineering focuses on encouraging and supporting technological innovators and entrepreneurs across McGill University in collaboration with the McGill Dobson Centre for Entrepreneurship and the Office of Innovation and Partnerships.

ELATE is a community within the Faculty of Engineering that is committed to promoting excellence in the teaching and learning of technical and professional 21st-century skills. Its vision is to lead the development of engineering education where teaching is a scholarly act enhanced by evidence-based practices.
