Nia Fernandez
Nia Fernandez, Ph.D. (they/them/iel) is an award-winning scholar, speaker, artist, mentor, and advocate for social justice in STEM. Nia majored in Biochemistry and Chemical Engineering, earning their doctorate in the field of regenerative medicine in 2022. In 2023, they voyaged to Antarctica with an international network of women and non-binary STEM professionals collaborating toward the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. As Manager of the Office of E-IDEA, Nia and their team support culture change through applied principles of inclusive leadership, community building, and collective action.
