These programs are paid for through insurance or student fees. 

Dialogue

  • Dialogue is an online platform that allows you to virtually connect with nurses and physicians via a mobile or web app from anywhere in Canada, free of charge.   
  • Students covered by all student union managed health insurance (PGSS, SSMU, MCSS, MACES) have access to virtual health care through the Dialogue Health mobile app.

Maple

  • Maple is a tool that provides access to an appointment with a doctor, at a distance. Students with Medavie Blue Cross Insurance can sign up for direct billing by following the steps on the International Student Services Maple webpage. Provincial insurance plans and/or other supplemental insurance plans, however, may not cover Maple services. 

GuardMe

  • Free, unlimited, 24/7 access to mental health support for ALL McGill students.
  • GuardMe is a mental health counselling service, offered to students in partnership with SSMU and PGSS, that provides 24/7/365 access to licensed counsellors through telephone or mobile chat in over 60 languages with a diverse counsellors who understand your experience and the unique needs of your community (including 2SLGBTQ+, BI&POC, immigrant communities, international students, individuals with disabilities, veterans, and more). To access this service, download the TELUS Health Student Support app for Apple iOS or Android

Tia Health

  • Tia Health allows you to book an appointment with and see a doctor without leaving the house
  • Fees depend on the province and type of appointment*

Olive

  • Connect with an MD for Medical consultations, prescriptions, and referrals to specialists via your phone, tablet or computer 24 hours/day
  • Fees depend on the province and type of appointment* 
  • Not to be used for: medical emergencies, controlled medications, form completion or physical exams 

Dermago

  • Dermatology support. Consult a Nurse Practitioner or Dermantologist, no referral from a GP is needed
  • Fees depend on the province and type of appointment*
  • Acne, rosacea, eczema, psoriasis, hair loss, sunspots, eyelash loss and wrinkles can all be evaluated and treated virtually.
