Helpful tips When Using Power Automate
- Do not hit the “back arrow” on the browser, use the back button on the bottom of the page
- At times, some browsers may keep old or unsubmitted information; please ensure that the information you are submitting is correct and not old data
- PowerAutomate will validate McGill email address, orgs, fund, and FST codes after it’s been submitted.
Be diligent in your keypunching
- As the “requestor” you can review the form before submitting for FFM/FST/Dean approval.
- Emails must be @mcgill.ca and be an individual account or a resource account. Shared mailboxes are not supported.
- The system fund termination date will be set to April 30 following the selected termination date
- The processes will automatically fail if an invalid email address is entered or Source Funding is entered. Be diligent in your keypunching.
- Failures and rejections are automatically removed from the process, you will have to enter a New Fund Request.
- For Donations, take note that some faculty/department/unit may request 2 FFM, one for the donation fund and another for the spendable fund.
