Eligibility
To be eligible for the services of the Student Wellness Hub you must:
- Be physically located in the province of Quebec at the time of your appointment. This is due to restrictions imposed by various professional orders who license our clinicians to practice in certain jurisdictions.
- Consent to having an appointment via telehealth.

- Information and guidance for dietary choices (e.g. veganism, vegetarianism, etc.)

Counsellor
Care for:
- Depression
- Disordered eating (e.g. binge eating, obsessive thinking)
- Anxiety
- Feeling overwhelmed
- Procrastination
- Relationship troubles
- Substance use
- Trauma
- As well as referrals to a McGill psychiatrist
Psychiatrist (requires referral from a medical doctor)
- Diagnosis of mental illnesses (including, but not limited to depression, anxiety, eating disorders, bipolar and other mood disorders)
- Prescribing and monitoring of medication for a diagnosed mental illness
- Referrals to appropriate care, both on- and off-campus
Access Advisor
- General mental health support and questions
- Initial triage/discussion about your mental health and what options are available to you
- Referrals to appropriate care, both on- and off-campus

To Book a Future Appointment
Please call 514-398-6017 (Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.) to make an appointment with any Hub professional.
If you're meeting a counsellor, you will be able to indicate if you’d like them to be:
- French-speaking
- Indigenous
- A particular gender
- Or to specialize in 2SLGBTQIA+ experiences

To Cancel an Appointment
Please call 514-398-6017 to cancel an appointment at least 24 hours in advance. You may also cancel an appointment by emailing hub.clinic [at] mcgill.ca (subject: Appointment%20Cancellation, body: Hello%2C%0AMy%20student%20ID%20is%20%7B%7D%20and%20I%20would%20like%20to%20cancel%20my%20appointment%20with%20%7Btype%20of%20professional%7D%20on%20%7Bdate%7D.%0A%0AThanks) , but you must call to re-book.
See the fees table for late cancellation and no-show fees. Note that if your appointment is on Monday, you must cancel on Friday to avoid paying the fee.
Failing to cancel an appointment on time also means that your spot can't be given to another student.

Medical Laboratory Services
Our medical laboratory team provides in-person services to students during opening hours by appointment only.
Before booking an appointment, you must:
- Have a lab requisition from a clinician working at the Student Wellness Hub. We do not accept laboratory requisitions from outside the Student Wellness Hub.
Note our staff cannot do throat swabs for individuals who are experiencing symptoms regardless of the reason. If you cannot get an appointment at the Student Wellness Hub, we ask that you visit the closest MUHC Testing Center.
