SP0013: Sustainable Eating

Status: COMPLETED September 2010 - April 2011

The main goal of the Sustainable Eating Project is the promotion of healthy, sustainable eating to students living off campus.

To achieve this, the project will act as a catalyst to bring together Dietetic Stagiaires and graduate students from the School of Dietetics and Human Nutrition, the Fit@McGill Health Promotion team at Student Health Services, and the Food and Dining Services team. Together, with a unified definition of sustainable eating, these groups will align to offer education and promotion of sustainable food.  Strategies for choosing sustainably grown foods and planning and preparing healthy, balanced meals will be disseminated through information kiosks, website education tools, cooking demonstrations and cooking workshops throughout the McGill student community.
